these are all really cool! they seem to be a lot more detailed than most of the work i see on the blog- did they require a lot more time and were they more art directed? i always wonder if the concept work is done before they approach artists or if you have more control over the look of the world you paint for them
I only spend about 2 to 3 hours on the wolverine weds. Most of my illustration that I do for clients can take anywhere from 10 to 40 hours to complete. I also usually get a lot of freedom when it comes to design. I generally just get a description of a character, and everything else is in my hands after that.
